NFC holding tag – what are they?

An NFC holding tag holds data. This data can be retrieved by tapping your compatible phone against the chip. The data then appears on your phone.

The NFC tag can hshow links to websites or youtube music videos. Also it can hold data such as animals name, phone number, allergies. And it can also be used to show phone numbers.

Depending how you set the chip up will depend how the data is shown. If you just add one website link, it will open up your browser and take you to the website.

If you programme it with information, a text box and show this text.

When programming a mix of information it will show a dialogue box with the information and links. Then you can click on these to take you to the relevant website. So you can have multiple links.

For example we may have a link to our website, our tiktok and both facebook page and group. We might also put a header with a little information about us.

These tags can be used in business as well as for personal use. So dog tags would be a reat idea. Maybe give these out as business cards with your relevant data on.

PROGRAMMING

To programme the tags you need an NFC writer, which you can download apps to do this and most are free.

There are several different apps, and though can be a little tricky to master at first, the results can vary, but they are generally easy to do.

The NFC chips are rewritable so you can rewrite over the data if you need to change anything.
