UV DTF – 006
How to Apply Your UVDTF Decal
1. Get the Surface Ready
Make sure the spot you’re sticking your decal on is clean, dry, and at room temperature. A quick wipe-down to remove any dust, grease, or fingerprints will help it stick much better.
2. Stick It On
-
Gently peel the clear sheet (A) away from the backing (B) — your design will stay on the clear sheet.
-
Line it up exactly where you want it.
-
Start pressing it down from the middle and work your way out to the edges to help prevent bubbles.
3. Smooth Out Bubbles
-
Use your fingers (or a soft squeegee/credit card) to press firmly from the center outward, pushing out any little air pockets.
-
Try to use even pressure so the whole design sticks properly.
-
Be gentle to avoid scratching the design or damaging the surface.
4. Peel Off the Clear Layer
-
Once it’s fully stuck down, slowly peel off the clear film at a low angle.
-
Check as you go — if any part starts to lift, press it back down and continue peeling.
✨ Pro Tips for Best Results
-
Best Surfaces: Smooth, hard, non-porous surfaces like glass, metal, plastic, or coated wood work best.
-
Avoid Curves: Flat areas are ideal — decals may wrinkle or lift on heavily curved surfaces.
-
Temperature Matters: Try to apply indoors at room temperature. Extreme cold or heat can affect adhesion.
-
No Rubbing Alcohol Needed: A simple wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth is enough — strong cleaners can reduce stickiness.
-
Let It Cure: Once applied, let your decal rest for 24 hours before washing or handling to make sure it’s fully bonded.
-
Handle With Care: These decals are durable, but gentle hand-washing (if on drinkware) will help them last longer.
